Mom's the word.

Randomness about the randomness that is my life. I'm a mom. I'm an animal activist who hates PETA. I'm a teacher and a student. I'm an almost reformed fanatical poptart junkie. I'm all things musical and soft to the touch.

New Blog on Tumblr

I really don’t know how many of you still follow this dead blog. I kept thinking that I was going to revivie it, but I never did. I’ve started a new blog at http://theliberalmama.tumblr.com/

It is about motherhood, but it is also about a lot of other things. I really miss a lot of you, and I was hoping that some of you would follow over there. Seriously. I miss this community. But I haven’t updated this blog in so long…it is just time for a change.

I have a new blog!

Please follow me if you are so inclined!

Tales of Rejection

I miss you all. I’m not deleting my Tumblr, but I don’t know when I’ll be back here to post. My new blog isn’t a Mommy Blog—it is a writing blog. :-)

My dad and Jude often go for long walks. I imagine they talk about important things like their shared love for ice cream and the meaning of life. When my parents came for a visit this afternoon, my father came with a gift for Jude—a new pair of rain boots. It had only just finished raining, so the two of them went off to find mud puddles.

Whatever else they found remains a secret between children.

Sorry…

for all the spam.

It’s just been so long since I updated!!

The shirt Jude is wearing was my shirt when I was his age. My mom saved it all these years for some unknown reason (she’s not really the sentimental type). You probably can’t see the writing on it, but the shirt says Raymond County Fair. When I was Jude’s age we lived in Utica, Mississippi, which is not too far outside of Jackson. Anyway, last night Jude wore this shirt to the fair where we live.

Pretty rad, huh?
