Mom's the word.

Randomness about the randomness that is my life. I'm a mom. I'm an animal activist who hates PETA. I'm a teacher and a student. I'm an almost reformed fanatical poptart junkie. I'm all things musical and soft to the touch.
I’m not exactly an all-natural convert when it comes to medicine for children. While I agree that it might be easier on their systems, it doesn’t always prove the most effective.

Yep, I totally wish it was safe to give my kid Dimetapp or some other equally non-FDA approved medicine for children under 4.

Frustrating as it might be, I’m not dumb enough to clog his system up with something that could potentially do more harm than good. Which is why I frequent the natural foods store in my town, and scour the shelves of Walgreens looking for anything that is safe to give Jude when he has a cold, tummy ache, teething pains, etc.

I feel like I’ve tried it all.

Earlier this week, Hyland’s became my new BFF when I discovered the the mother of all, all-natural remedies. Although I’ve been a big fan of their teething tablets, teething gel, and tiny cold tablets (not pictured), I had yet to find ANY cough syrup that even came close to getting the job done. And then, on the third shelf at Walgreens, I saw it-Hyland’s cough syrup. I snatched it up in all it’s $7.99 glory.

I also plan to try the new teething strips I saw as well.

My life…is complete.
